This kit essentially provides a conversion to 590S functionality, but in a more robust design. It contains our patent-pending Universal Cartridge Adapter and low-drag no-snag Magazine Follower which allows smooth cycling of 1-3/4" Minishells up to 3" Magnum cartridges in the same magazine. The adapter is constructed from vulcanized thermoplastic rubber, and the follower is machined from solid 6061-T6 billet aluminum. This kit is compatible with any Mossberg 12-Gauge pump-action firearm with a 3" Chamber and machined grooves in the receiver. Please refer to the picture below or the installation video below to confirm your firearm's compatibility.
Please note there may be a short break-in period for some adapters after installation. Cycle a few magazines of full-size shells if you initially experience issues with 1-3/4" shells, please reach out to us if problem persists.

Up until now, my Shockwave had mostly been a good idea that sat in my closet. Even though I wanted to like shooting it, I must confess that after a few 2 3/4 or 3" shells, I would put it away. After installation (which was easy) of the mini shotshell adapter, it's like having a new gun. I have shot so many mini shells that I had to go to the gunstore and buy more. The adapter is a great addition to the Shockwave.
So I’ve run this adapter for a while now and my first impression was it’s pretty darn good at the range. I wasn’t having any problems just standing cycling the gun with the short shells. The problems started when you start trying to cycle it during any kind of movement or activity like a competition. What continually happens unless the gun is held square and level is the shells will stand up in the receiver requiring shaking out the shell or trying to fumble it into the chamber. So while in theory it does work under range conditions I would NEVER use this with short shells in a defensive weapon. I liked the idea enough to buy a 590S that doesn’t have the same issues. I’ll leave it in for playing at the range or pest control with the 1 3/4 #8 shells but I wouldn’t bet my life on it
Sorry you're having trouble with your Mini shell adapter, usually these type of issues clear up after you've run the break in procedure per the installation video. If you've done that and are still having issues, we can send you a replacement to try, or if you prefer, we can give you a full refund. I'm also confused by your pictures. One picture shows our MiniShell adapter, but the other picture shows our Mini Pro lifter system. But you reference the 590S in your review, so I'm not sure exactly what you have please clarify.
Very happy with this kit - the ability to consistently shoot 1-3/4" makes my shoulder very happy. BTW, it looks great!
This is the best gadget I've ever seen easy to install worked perfectly. I hope you guys make a trillion dollars off this thing
