This magazine tube dent removal tool is designed specifically for the 12-gauge Remington 870 and other 12 gauge models with similar spring retainer dents around the opening of the tube (such as the TAC-14). Our 2-piece system is superior to other 1-piece swage designs on the market as the additional outer impact ring allows complete removal of the dents while protecting the magazine tube from deformation.
I didn't want to spend $80+ on a potentially one time use tool and decided to give this one a shot. Worked flawlessly to easily pound out the detents in my 870 magazine tube, and the cross holes allowed me to pop it right back out with a screwdriver as a cross bar.
Worked exactly as described, no issues! I would recommend a layer of painters tape between the clamp and your mag tube. Well thought out design.
I have not used it yet but im sure it will work for my needs. Its well crafted and seemed to be a good option at a reasonable price.
I used this on a Stevens 320 with grease and followed the instructional video step by step. The tool was significantly marred on both sides from a single use. I was honestly pretty shocked to see how much damage was done to the tool by a relatively cheap, lower end budget shotgun.
