This Front Strap Assembly Kit for M-LOK forends includes a forend strap assembly and installation tool. The forend strap assembly utilizes M-LOK compatible reinforced nylon brackets at each end of the strap to attach to the forend and provides increased safety and control.
On M-LOK equipped short-barreled firearms without a shoulder stock, like the Remington 870 TAC-14, this strap kit is a must.
The shorter length of some forends leads to improper fitment of the strap. I have torqued the screws properly and used loctite, and the strap has still fallen off on three separate occasions after firing. A loose strap when potentially paired with a novice shotgun shooter can lead to a big mistake. I would not recommend this for any shotgun without the magpul forend. I would highly recommend the company makes a version that includes a fixed metal bar that connects to both ends of the strap, and allows for more mounting points that the two mlok bits with very tiny bits.
Sorry you had trouble with the MLOK Strap, but it sounds like you didn't install it properly...and there's nothing wrong with being a novice and needing help. You have to make sure the T-Nuts fully rotate 90 degrees into position. Normally this can be accomplished with a blind installation, but sometimes you might need to use a small screwdriver or other tool to rotate them. It's also easier if you remove the forend from the gun so you can see.
Once the T-Nuts are fully rotated into position and tightened, you'll tear the material out from the forend or the strap before the fasteners come out.

Strap itself is not needed but is made of solid material, and does act as a support for hand placement. Happy with this upgrade.
