This kit will fit bird's head style rear grips with installed swivel stud. Kit includes stud for platforms with no factory installed swivel stud. Works great with firearms like the Mossberg Shockwave and Remington 870 TAC-14 and TAC-13.
For Mossberg 990 Aftershock or other QD style grips, this adapter is also required!
So I started by stippling my grip and that was better, but then I came across this set up and it just made sense. Solid construction, perfect amount of tackiness on the grip and the strap helps so much to keep a handle on things because I don’t care how strong you are these shockwaves take some know how and skill to control and be effective with. Def Tac hit a home run on this one.
After many injuries and a disposition to osteoarthritis I found this gear to give me better and easier retention on my Shockwave 590s.
Self explanatory install though you might want an extra hand getting the grip sleeve on. I know people put some kind of lubricant on to make it easier. Don't do that. Get your kid to help muscle it on. My first purchase from Defender, but sure it will not be my last. Very happy with the quality and the price.
Well designed and high quality manufacturing. Works great on the 590 Shockwave and the 990 AfterShock (I've installed both), really makes it feel more secure. Be prepared to fight with the rubber sleeve to install it, but that's normal and expected on any rubber sleeve. This is well worth the money.
